XLikes keeps everything on your computer. There's no XLikes server, account, analytics or tracking.

What XLikes stores, and where. The tweets you've liked: their text, author, date, media links and counts. They come from the X archive you import and from the pages you browse on x.com. They're saved in your browser's local extension storage and never leave it, except as described below.

What is sent anywhere. To find out who wrote a like that came from your archive (the archive only has the tweet's ID and text), XLikes asks X's public embed service (cdn.syndication.twimg.com) for that tweet, the same request an embedded tweet on any website makes. Only the tweet ID is sent. This happens only after you allow it.

What XLikes reads on x.com. While you browse x.com, XLikes reads the data X already sends your browser, only to notice tweets you've liked and save them locally. It doesn't send any of it anywhere, read your messages, or act on your account.

Your control. You can export everything as JSON, or delete it all, from the XLikes page (toolbar icon → ⋯). Uninstalling XLikes deletes all of its data.

Sharing. XLikes doesn't sell, share or transfer your data to anyone.
